Every life, fashioned in God’s image, enters the world through a mother and father, and God’s ideal is for husbands and wives to live in covenant relationship with each other—for their sake, the sake of their children, and culture as a whole. Because every child derives his or her life from a mother and father, the soul of every child that needs a father and mother. Longitudinal studies are overwhelmingly conclusive that children who are raised with the benefit of a father and mother are far less likely to drop out of school, remain unemployed, experience severe depression, possess addictive behavior, serve time in prison, and even commit suicide. Therefore, this section focuses on how families can become the true gifts God intends them to be.
